Less than a week before Disney bass is set to present its new fall wares to Madison Avenue buyers, ABC has picked up a comedy starring James Caan, two projects from David Zabel and Ryan Seacrest Production’s first scripted effort Mixology. They will join returning series including Modern Family, The Middle, Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy on the network’s 2013-14 schedule.

Glee‘s Vanessa Lengies has been cast as a lead in the Alphabet Net’s comedy pilot, which is set in a sexy Manhattan bar, our sister site Deadline reports.The high-concept, single-camera project follows five single guys and five single girls as they look for love over the course of an evening.
